so, i’m back tonight playing the Triple Triple gold slot game at English Harbour. This slot is a lot like the Crazy Cherry machine, with the little image of a crank handle (that doesn’t work), no autoplay, the digital display. it’s pretty much the same engine, with different symbols and values.

and that’s fine, to me.

i’ve kindof grown to like the engine, so the gameplay is fun. and, the different symbols (especially those tripling wilds!) really change the gameplay.

the symbols on the reels are pretty standard, which means either reassuringly familiar, or boring, depending on your likes. you’ll find cherries, bars, sevens, and the tripling Wild Triple Triple Gold symbol.

right now i’m finding them reassuring. i’m not in the mood for anything on the cutting edge, so the old standbys are fine with me.

in the tournament i’m doing well, but off the money pace. after looking at the tally of the person in 8th (which is where i nee to get to to earn any kind of reward), it’s only one good win away at the $5 coin size.

the person in first is almost unreachable. no sense buring through a bankroll chasing them!

well, after spinning the reels until i ran out of money, i came up broke. at least in terms of tournament credits. while i had been ahead on the machine for a while, since i wasn’t in the money there was little reason to stop and stand still where i was. and, in playing out the tournament until the end, i simply burned off my bankroll.

i ran my numbers, and it turned out i had about an 88% payout on the machine for the tourney. anything under 100% is a sure loser, and that’s pretty far under 100%. but, with the pair of tripling wilds, i always had hope.

and, i bet that that is how this machine runs in the regular casino setting. big swings because of the chance of really nice payouts. i know i certainly didn’t feel like i was short-changed on the play.

oh well, can’t win them all. hehe, i’ll be happy to do well once in a while to be honest! and, since i just cashed out, twice, i’ve got no complaints.
